While I am sure he does good work, this place is WAY overpriced. He quoted me $113 just to install plugs (which I was providing) in my aunts 2006 Kia Rio. I only considered taking it to someone to do because I am very busy right now and did not want to do it myself. But no way I was paying that much for a 15 minute job. I am not paying anyone the equivalent of $450/hr! Hell, my lawyer makes less than that! And just as proof that his price was borderline extortion, I got estimates from 3 more nearby shops too. The highest of these quoted me just $85! I get that mechanics are a specialized trade and they deserve a fair rate. But $113 for a 15 minute job to change spark plugs is almost $452 an hour. I am a web developer and I don't make that much! Instead, I just did it myself. Cost me $27.19 (for sparkplugs and a deep well socket I needed) and 17 minutes of my day (yes, I timed it). In fairness, it might take someone that has never done it maybe 30-45 minutes. But I think its safe to assume that experienced mechanics like these guys have done this a few times!

Super nice guys at this shop. While I never met them in person or got my car serviced from them they went above and beyond!! I was traveling up to Spirit Lake when I had damage to my car making it undrivable, this shop looked it over, let me store it, and even helped diagnose the issue. While they couldn't perform the work due to it being a Mercedes-Benz, they did everything they could to help! I wouldn't hesitate to go to this shop again. Thanks so much to the team at Rooney's!!

I have the pleasure of owning a truck that was maintained by Rooney's Auto, and Brian Rooney took the time to talk with me and provide insight on the truck including suggestions on preventative maintenance and NAPA part warranties - without charging me. It's clear that the truck was well maintained. All vehicles have little design challenges that require extra attention to last a long time, and Brian had good experience-based advice for me. I'm likely not a customer because I moved the truck hundreds of miles away, but it's nice to listen to someone who knows how to cost effectively make a vehicle last a long time. I'll let my friends in town know that Rooney's Auto and Tire Center has my highest recommendation.

Rooney's Auto and Tire is always fantastic. Brian is honest and his rates are fair. His customer service is top notch and I have never had any issues with my vehicle after he has worked on it. I appreciate having someone that I can trust to get the job done quickly and completely. He has fixed tires, replaced tires, and done work on my A/C and heater on my car. 100% recommend Rooney's Auto and Tire Center.

I’m from Des Moines, and never had quality service as I did at Rooney’s Auto. They truly value their customers as Dakota took care of my car issues 5 min prior to close without hesitation. I had a front bumper guard come loose and rubbing my tire as I headed out of town and he fixed it promptly. I highly recommend Rooney’s Auto, with Brian & Dakota, for all your auto needs. My mini-van had a flat tire all the way to the rim. Rooney's Auto & Tire Center were more than kind in responding to my call especially on a very busy day. They came to my house took care of my vehicle and brought it back to my location. They have helped with my vehicle problems many times and have done my regular vehicle maintainance fir several years. They are kind, polite and caring. Dakota checks my tire pressure whenever needed. He is always kind and does an awesome job. Thanks to everyone here!

I took my BMW to get an alignment and the tires balanced. At first I thought the price was a little steep but after driving my car the price was well worth it. My car rides better than it ever has. The gentleman who did the alignment did a very thorough job. I will be taking my truck in for an alignment soon. A big thanks to the folks at Rooney's. You all did an excellent job. I forgot to mention, they even offered me one of their vehicles to use while I was waiting on mine.

We are traveling the United States and live a fifth wheel camper. When we got to Emmetsburg we realized our van needed some tlc. Rooneys came highly recommended by numerous local people. So we went there and made an appointment. Wow! They were so nice and fast! They went above and beyond our expectations. We have a 1983 van not everyone wants to work on, so we were very grateful. We will recommend them for sure!

We had gotten a questionable diagnosis of an engine miss at a different repair shop in Minneapolis, they said the head gasket was blown and it needed a new engine! I took it to my trusted hometown repair shop “Rooneys Auto” for second opinion. Turns out it was a broken coil and a leaking radiator! If you can always take it to your trusted hometown shop! Actually for the longest time, Brian whom runs/owns/operates this business. Rodney's in Emmetsburg, IA. Was so good and treated us decent with our vehicles. But the last couple years he acts like he doesn't even want our business at all. Even at one point he told my husband Eugene Jensen not to even bring our 1997 back down to his shop, as they could nvr get to the bottom of our problem with that vehicle. WOW!!!! SOME NERVE AND WHAT KIND OF MECHANICS DOES HE HAVE THERE IN HIS SHOP??? So Eugene has decided even after still taking the other truck down there recently things still were not done rightfully, so he is now done with ROONEYS AUTO REPAIR!!!!
